The role
The Response Manager will lead and manage Australian Red Cross support to major Red Cross disaster and crisis responses around the world. This will include mobilizing and oversight of aid workers, financial resources and material support. In this role you will be accountable for operational management of funds raised through public donations (appeals) or from government or other donors, including project design, implementation, ongoing operational and financial management (task forces, steering groups, budgets), monitoring, reporting and improvement.
About You
The successful applicant will have relevant tertiary qualifications, international experience in disaster and crisis response. Ideally this role requires strong skills in remote project management, including financial management. You will have demonstrated experience of successfully and collaboratively managing and/ or influencing project teams, including remote members. Due to the nature of this contract, you will need to have full working rights in Australia.
