Australian Red Cross are looking for a Recovery Program Design Lead to work collaboratively with Fiji Red Cross and other stakeholders to drive the design of the TC Winston Recovery Program, identifying opportunities from lesson learned and drawing on existing strengths and programming.
Please see the following for the key strengths we are looking for:
- Proven experience and demonstrated success in designing and implementing disaster response and recovery programs
- Strong background in project/program strategic planning processes
- Experience working on the monitoring and evaluation of aid and/or development programs
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
- Ability to facilitate or coordinate workshops
- Well developed communication, networking and interpersonal skills
- Field experience in an international organisation in a developing country context
- Technical capacity in economic empowerment, livelihoods or similar
Demonstrated understanding of the Red Cross Movement, its fundamental principles and ways of working
Preferred
Experience in supporting capacity development of programs in a Pacific country context
Experience of working for the Red Cross/Red Crescent Movement
Knowledge of the context and issues relevant to response and recovery operations, ideally in the Pacific context
