The role
The Practice Lead advises Australian Red Cross staff and Red Cross and Red Crescent partners with regard to designing, resourcing, monitoring and evaluating disaster risk management and improved response initiatives. The role will facilitate links with other thematic areas inclusive of Health, Organisational Development and Protection Gender and Inclusion and other teams such as Strategy and Influence and International Deployments.
About you
You have demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining complex relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders, and proven experience in facilitating outcomes. You will have a high level of technical and operational skills and demonstrated experience in disaster risk management, including with relevant cross thematic awareness and sensitivities; for example health, climate change adaptation, WASH, urban disaster risk reduction, disability and inclusion.
You have demonstrated experience in design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, stakeholder engagement, preferably in disaster risk management or humanitarian response.
