Scope of the job
Under the supervision of the Country Representative, the Logistic Manager will be responsible to implement the logistics operations of the mission to ensure good logistical performance and provide the best possible support to the programs.
Main responsabilities
The Logistic Manager will be in charge to:
- Provide leadership in the area of activity
- Implement and ensure the performance of the supply chain
- Implement and ensure the performance of facilities management included organization of temporary shelter
- Implement and ensure the performance of information and communication technology and network management
- Contribute to security management in collaboration with the Country Representative
- Setting in place and following up collaboration and coordination in logistics with the mission's partners
- Manage the Logistics team
- Preparation and submission of Mission logistic report (compilation & consolidation of all logistic reports – field offices and capital & transmission to HQ) in accordance with WeWorld Procedure
- Preparation of Logistics reports to donors in cooperation with the italian offices.
- Support the Country Representative in the Representation Activities of WeWorld to various stakeholders including local community members, authorities, other NGOs, companies and partners, donors
- Participation in logistics-related meetings with donors, Log cluster, and partners
These positions require mobility in different area of Nepal
Qualification and experience
- Bachelors degree or higher in Logistics, Business, Engineering or other related field
- At least five (5) years of relevant overseas experience managing humanitarian logistics on the field for an international NGO, including an experience in a complex environment (preferable if in natural disaster);
- Experience in staff management, project management, and security management
- Experience in the management of the project funded by main donors (es. EU and UN)
- Experience in development project in Nepal will be considered a plus when establishing the ranking.
- Italian Mother tongue, Fluency in English is compulsory
- Proficiency in MS Office applications especially excel
