The role
Working with International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and Vanuatu Red Cross Society (VRCS), as part of the Red Cross Movement coordinated operation, the Recovery Design Advisor will lead the drafting of the Red Cross recovery plan for Vanuatu following TC Pam.
The integrated, whole of country recovery plan will incorporate the multilateral IFRC-led response as well as the individual partner national society bilateral responses. The Red Cross partners in country are IFRC, Australia RC, French RC, New Zealand RC .
About you
To be successful in this position, you will have relevant tertiary qualifications, skills and/or experience in aid and development and or in the humanitarian sector, proven experience in designing and implementing disaster response and recovery programs, highly developed communication and interpersonal skills as well as significant field experience in an international organisation in a developing country context. Ability to travel across Vanuatu and to other countries in the Pacific will be highly regarded.
