- The dissemination of international humanitarian law (IHL) and the role of the International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement (Movement) is a key priority for Australian Red Cross and a crucial part of the unique mandate of all 190 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies around the world.
The role
Responsible for training design, resources, organization, and quality assurance of new and existing training programs that promote respect and understanding for International Humanitarian Law and the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. Working with IHL stakeholder engagement specialists in the IHL team, identify appropriate training needs and learning pathways for key stakeholder groups, develop monitoring and evaluation resources for all IHL training and develop innovative, accessible and relevant IHL training sessions and courses.
About You
You are a highly skilled adult educator or teacher with proven abilities to apply strategic, creative and innovative thinking to theory and practice. You are experienced in developing high quality and effective training and educative tools and resources for a range of professional adult audiences and purposes. Ideally you have had experience working in environments that have exposed you to law and policy and/or the humanitarian sector.
